We, Mandela's Children

Nelson Mandela is a global icon. He is one of the most important, not only political, figures in the history of ALL humanity. With his selfless struggle against Apartheid, discrimination, oppression and inequality he has shown us as 'impossible' does not exist.By his actions and determination, through-out his life, which included 27 years of incaceration, he has demonstrated of love of people and the undiminishable power of the human spirit. Therefore it is our duty to continue his fight against inequality and discrimination. And to do our absolute best to help our fellow human beings.
He has taught us many lessons, one of those being that we need to live our lives with honesty and integrity. Also that in order to realise our dreams we don't have to sacrifice our beliefs, integrity and self worth.
He is uTata, our father. He is not only father of our South Africa or Africa but also of the world. Therefore even though Nelson Mandela does have his own children (grand and great-grand children), everyone of us is also Mandela's children.It is up to each and everyone of us to continue his work and honour his legacy. In so doing we will be contributing to the good of all mankind.
As nelson Mandela's children, there is many different ways in which we can acomplish this. This site is intended as one of those ways; a tribute to the great man. Additionally it is intended as a reminder to his biological children, in light of their recent fueds and public mud-slinging, that Mandela belongs to humanity too. His lifes work and reputation is too important to be sullied by bitter family infighting. Especially since the man has not actually died yet.

Therefore in closing let me urge ALL of us. All of Nelson Mandela's children, in South Africa and across the world, to live by his example and help to make this world a better place.
